About Bayt Zeinab

Bayt Zeinab was born from a dream that started in our home.

In 2014, my mom, Zeinab, shared that she wanted to start a business of her own. But like so many mothers, life kept moving. Between work, family, and the everyday responsibilities of being a mom, her dream was placed on hold. I was young at the time, but her words never left me.

My name is Ala’a, and I think I have always had a little business spark in me. In middle school, I hosted a bake sale in my neighborhood. In high school, I sold brownies at school. Even before I fully understood it, I loved creating something that could bring people joy.

When college came, I focused on my studies while my mom continued working hard, as she always has. But after graduating with my BBA, I felt pulled back to something that had been quietly following me for years: the dream of building something meaningful, rooted in family, culture, and love.

That is how Bayt Zeinab came to life.

Named after my mom, Bayt Zeinab is more than a dessert business. It is a love letter to her dream, her sacrifices, and the warmth she has always brought into our home. Our treats are homemade, Sudanese-inspired, nostalgic, and made with care. From our signature basbousa to every dessert we share, our hope is that each bite feels comforting, familiar, and like you are being welcomed into our home.

Welcome to Bayt Zeinab. A little piece of our home, shared with yours.
